RADIO DES GRANDS PONTS: A NEW LEAP FORWARD FOR A MEDIA OUTLET SERVING THE REGION
Radio des Grands Ponts is getting a makeover and entering a new chapter in its history.
A festive ceremony on Friday, September 25, 2026, marked the official handover of its fully renovated facilities, organized by the President of the Grands Ponts Regional Council, Minister Essis Esmel Emmanuel. On this occasion, the radio station also received a significant amount of equipment designed to strengthen its operational capabilities, including a generator, computers, and communications equipment.
In his remarks, the President of the Regional Council recalled that when he took office in October 2023, the radio station broadcast only within the city of Grand-Lahou. Today, it covers the entire department, with the next goal being to strengthen its presence in Dabou and Jacqueville in order to gradually ensure coverage of the entire region.
The Director of Radio des Grands Ponts expressed his gratitude to the President of the Regional Council, on behalf of his team and on his own behalf. He was presented with a trophy as a token of appreciation for his commitment to the radio station.
After 16 years of operation, Radio des Grands Ponts is thus gaining new momentum and enhanced resources to better fulfill its mission of providing news and community-focused programming to serve the public.
