The President represents the executive body of the Grands Ponts Region. In this capacity, he or she exercises the following responsibilities:
• He or she prepares the Regional Council's deliberations and ensures their execution;
• He or she acts as the authorizing officer for the Region's revenue and expenditures;
• He or she officially represents the Grands Ponts Region in all civil, administrative, and legal matters, both nationally and internationally.
