DABOU: PRESIDENT ESSIS ESMEL EMMANUEL STRENGTHENS DIALOGUE WITH THE BAOULÉ COMMUNITY

Minister Essis Esmel Emmanuel, President of the Grands Ponts Regional Council, welcomed the chiefs of the 15 Baoulé tribes from the municipality of Dabou on Saturday, October 3, 2026, for a meeting marked by brotherhood, dialogue, and sharing.

In a friendly atmosphere, discussions focused on relations between the Baoulé community and the Regional Council, as well as on the need to maintain an ongoing dialogue in the interest of peace, social cohesion, and the development of Grands Ponts.

President Essis Esmel Emmanuel expressed his hope that, in collaboration with the Baoulé chiefs, a schedule of periodic meetings would be established. These regular meetings will help strengthen ties, foster greater mutual understanding, and consolidate the bonds between the Regional Council and the Baoulé community.

He also invited the chiefs and the entire Baoulé community to continue working to maintain peace and social cohesion in Grands Ponts, particularly in Leboutou.

The chiefs of the 15 tribes present appreciated this initiative and commended the Regional Council President’s outreach efforts. They assured him of their willingness to support him in his mission, in a spirit of dialogue, peace, and brotherhood.

In a key moment of the meeting, the President of the Regional Council immediately informed the chiefs of his decision to run for re-election in the 2028 regional election. He shared with them his desire to continue the work he has undertaken as head of the Grands Ponts Regional Council.

This meeting thus marks a new stage in the dialogue between the Regional Council and the Baoulé community of Dabou, based on mutual respect, trust, close ties, and a shared commitment to working together in the service of peace and development in Grands Ponts.
